Sustanon

What is Sustanon?

Sustanon is a blend of testosterone esters, therefore the active substance is testosterone. This product is used to treat low testosterone levels (or deficiency) in males (hypogonadism). Testosterone blends are available as numerous other brand names besides Sustanon (such as Omnadren and others), but Sustanon is the most popular brand name when it comes to testosterone mixtures. This is an androgen and anabolic steroid medication, as it is a synthetic (laboratory made) testosterone hormone, mixed in different ester preparations. Therefore, Sustanon will increase testosterone levels at different rates due to different esters. The original blend includes the following four testosterone esters: 30 mg testosterone propionate, 60 mg testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg testosterone isocaproate, and 100 mg testosterone decanoate, forming 250 mg of testosterone, therefore, known as Sustanon 250. But there are different mixtures, with different amounts, and esters available of testosterone blends.

How often to inject Sustanon 250?

Sustanon 250 is usually injected once every 1-4 weeks when given by doctors as standard treatment. The doctor adjusts the dosage in response to individual responses and requirements. Nonetheless, this schedule is not enough to maintain stable levels of testosterone. Sustanon 250 contains both short and long esterified versions of testosterone. In order to maintain stable levels, it is recommended to use it at least two times a week, with many using it even more frequently such as 3 times a week or even every other day, due to short esters in this compound (such as Propionate). Still, once a week is the least recommended to inject it, with 2 times a week being the recommended schedule, and as said, some use it even more often to ensure maximum stable levels of testosterone in their bloodstream for optimal results.

How long does Sustanon stay in your system?

Sustanon 250 contains four different esters of testosterone, meaning that after injection testosterone will enter and flush out of the system at different rates. The shorter versions such as Propionate and Phenylpropionate will enter and flush out much faster than Isocaproate or especially Decanoate esters. The Decanoate is the longest out of the four versions, meaning that by the time it leaves your system, the rest esters are long gone. It has a long duration of action, meaning that it will stay in your system for about 2-4 weeks. It has a very long half-life of approximately 14 days. Therefore, Sustanon will quickly kick in your system (due to Propionate ester), and will slowly flush out of your system (due to Decanoate ester). That’s why it was created in the first place. Its metabolites, however, may remain detectable on anti-doping tests for much longer, such as 3-5 months.

How often to inject Sustanon 250 bodybuilding?

Sustanon 250 for bodybuilding purposes is injected significantly more often than for health purposes when prescribed by doctors. The standard injection schedule when prescribed is once every 3-4 weeks. However, Sustanon 250 for bodybuilding is injected at least once a week. In fact, I would recommend injecting it two times a week, evenly apart, in order to make sure you get stable testosterone levels for optimal results. Some use it more frequently such as 3 times a week or even every other day due to the short ester Propionate in it. In the end, the least injection frequency I recommend is two times a week, evenly apart (such as every 3-4 days). Less frequent is not recommended, while more frequent is doable, but remains optional.

Is Sustanon good for TRT?

Yes, Sustanon is a good compound for TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). In fact, this is why it was designed in the first place. The compound is good for TRT because it is created to maintain stable levels of testosterone with fewer injections. Nonetheless, you would still need to inject it at least once a week for TRT purposes for somewhat stable levels of testosterone, or better yet, use it twice a week for optimal results. Sustanon 250 contains four esters of testosterone, so it basically increases testosterone (at different rates) and that’s why it is a good option for TRT. Men suffering from low levels of testosterone (or deficiency) AKA hypogonadism will significantly benefit from Sustanon for TRT.

Is Sustanon testosterone?

Yes, Sustanon is basically testosterone. The only active substance (ingredient) is the testosterone hormone, which is bioidentical to the naturally occurring testosterone. The synthetic hormone (laboratory-made by humans) testosterone works the exact same way as natural testosterone. Sustanon is just the brand name of a four testosterone blend – Testosterone Propionate, Phenylpropionate, Isocaproate, and Decanoate. It is popular as Sustanon 250 because it contains 30 mg, 60 mg, 60 mg, and 100 mg of testosterone esters, respectively, containing a total of 250 mg per 1 ml. Note, however, that the total amount of raw testosterone per mL is 176 mg. The amount of raw testosterone is different for each ester, due to different ester weights. In the end, the compound is basically testosterone, similar to any other testosterone version such as Enanthate or Cypionate.

Can I take Sustanon 250 alone?

Yes, you can take Sustanon 250 alone unlike other anabolic and androgenic steroids (AAS) because this is basically testosterone. Testosterone is important to be in the cycle with any other steroid because it will keep your levels within normal range, enhancing cycle effectiveness and reducing potential side effects. It’s because all steroids (including testosterone) will suppress natural T levels, but testosterone injections work as a replacement. Sustanon 250 (and other testosterone versions) are replacements for natural testosterone, so they can be used alone or stacked with other steroids. In fact, this steroid is often used alone, either as a form of cycle/blast (usually in higher dosage) or alone as a form of TRT/cruise (usually in lower dosage).

Can Sustanon cause erectile dysfunction?

Sustanon is a blend of four testosterone esters, meaning that the active ingredient is basically testosterone. This is a male sex hormone that plays an extremely important role in a male’s erection. Without enough testosterone, men will most likely experience erectile dysfunction. Sustanon increases testosterone levels, therefore, it can actually help fight off erectile dysfunction. Yet, it is important to understand that using Sustanon 250 in larger doses may cause estrogen to spike. That’s because larger Sustanon doses may increase testosterone a lot. The body converts testosterone into estrogen. The higher the Testosterone levels, the higher the estrogen levels. Too high estrogen can cause erectile dysfunction. That’s why Sustanon may cause erectile dysfunction, but it usually indicates the dosage is too large (and there’s too much estrogen). In most cases, however, it won’t cause erectile dysfunction, but actually fights it off.

Can you inject Sustanon subcutaneous?

Yes, you can inject Sustanon subcutaneously, however, I don’t really recommend doing it. Subcutaneous injections of anabolic steroids such as testosterone (any version/ester, including Sustanon) are not a preferred method over intramuscular injections. This is because they are more likely to cause painful injections and post-injection issues such as swellings, irritations, redness, and poor absorption. While some may suggest that subcutaneous injections with Sustanon or any other testosterone version are better (or even recommended), intramuscular injections are still preferred over subcutaneous testosterone injections for various reasons. Again, intramuscular injections are less painful and less likely to cause issues.

Does Sustanon 250 build muscle?

Sustanon 250 increases testosterone hormone levels and this is a male sex hormone that will directly influence the amount of lean muscle mass you can build. Generally, everyone knows that the more testosterone a person has, the more muscle they can build. Therefore, yes, Sustanon 250 can build muscle because it increases testosterone levels. Increasing this hormone a lot will help build a lot of muscle. This effect is especially seen in people with hypogonadism (lack or low testosterone levels) who will struggle to build any muscle. Using Sustanon 250 will increase their T levels which will tremendously help them build muscle and strength even without diet and training. But when using this product for physique and performance enhancement a correct diet and workout plan is necessary. This way, it can offer great results in terms of muscle and strength gains. It helps build lean muscle mass faster and easier.

Does Sustanon cause hair loss?

Sustanon basically increases the testosterone hormone, and men with higher testosterone levels can experience hair loss. It is important to understand, however, that hair loss is primarily a genetic thing. Men predisposed to male pattern baldness are likely to experience it even without the use of steroids or higher testosterone levels. But increasing testosterone levels (by using Sustanon, or any other testosterone or steroid), is likely to speed up, worsen and aggravate hair loss. Not having this genetic predisposition may not make you experience hair loss even if you do use Sustanon. But testosterone is a hormone that is likely causing / worsening hair loss due to it converting into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This hormone is “the enemy” of scalp hair. Higher DHT usually causes hair loss. Since men naturally have higher DHT levels, they are more predisposed to hair loss than women.

Does Sustanon cause water retention?

Yes, Sustanon may cause water retention. That is mostly because this compound increases testosterone levels, and this hormone converts into estrogen. Estrogen is a hormone that causes water retention (and bloating). So, using Sustanon leads to higher T levels and, therefore, higher estrogen levels, therefore likely to cause water retention. Nonetheless, it is important to understand that not everyone using testosterone injections experiences water retention. There are numerous factors to consider such as testosterone to estrogen conversion, Testosterone levels, salt (sodium) intake, personal reaction, and so on. Still, it is possible to experience water retention while using this compound.

Does Sustanon increase libido?

Sustanon contains four different testosterone esters, meaning that the main ingredient is just testosterone. Using this compound will increase the total levels of this hormone – a male sex hormone that directly influences erection, sex drive, and libido in males. Higher testosterone levels are associated with higher libido, therefore, yes, Sustanon can increase libido. Nonetheless, it is important to understand that libido is influenced by numerous other things besides testosterone. While this hormone is highly important when talking about libido, it is not the only thing. Therefore, yes, it may increase libido. But it may not, in case libido issues are caused by other things than lower Testosterone levels. Moreover, Sustanon may spike testosterone over the roof, and this hormone is then converted into estrogen in the body. Too much estrogen may actually decrease libido. Sustanon decreasing libido is usually a result of too high dosage (often indicating high estrogen).

Does Sustanon increase sperm count?

Sustanon increases testosterone hormone levels exogenously. The body receives signals that there’s an overflow of this anabolic hormone in the bloodstream. So it stops producing it naturally, on its own. The problem is that most natural testosterone is produced in the testicles. This is the reason why using exogenous testosterone (injections), usually shrinks testicle size (they do not work, so they shrink). Now, sperm is produced by testicles. Since they do not work and shrink, the sperm count (and quality) reduces. Sustanon increases testosterone which is a hormone required for sperm production. Yet, the level of this hormone in the testicles (where sperm is produced) is significantly more important than total testosterone levels circulating in the blood. Considering that you have high T levels in the bloodstream due to the use of Sustanon (or other test injections), it will lower testosterone production by the testicles. So it lowers sperm count.
